XP-431 - Unable to Read

Issue: Reading Failed -1 on XP-431​

Solution​

1. Download the firmware from this link: Download Firmware
2. Upload the firmware to the printer in normal mode, not Program Update mode.
3. The uploading process may get stuck at 70-80% - this is normal.
4. Open the task manager and stop the updater process.
5. The printer will blink for about 5-15 minutes, then power off.
6. Power on the printer - chipless firmware is now installed.

Additional Information​

- The XP-430 requires recognized ink cartridges during the update in normal mode.
